The Man-Portable Heavy Bolter, Astartes MK IVc, is so heavy it must be carried by a Space Marine. The backpack holds up to 600 shots, and a direct chain link to the weapon allows continuous fire until ammunition is depleted, at which point, the Space Marine will need to return to Headquarters for rearmament. The rate of fire is the same as the Bolter, but is less accurate as the weapon fires in a full-automatic fashion. This is countered by the weapon's large ammunition supply.

Like most bolt-weapons issued to the Marines in the Ziongane operations, they use Standard, Depleted deuterium core bolts, which detonate upon the point of impact on the target.
